Benetas recognises outstanding achievement

Victorian aged care provider Benetas holds its Annual Staff and Volunteers Awards ceremony.

Victorian aged care provider Benetas has recognised outstanding achievement from staff and volunteers in its annual awards ceremony.

Introducing the awards, the organisation’s Executive Director, Phil Read, drew attention to the important contribution of staff and volunteers.

“The staff members and volunteers who were nominated for Awards, truly illustrate the ongoing passion and commitment of our people. It is this passion which enables Benetas to continue to be a leading provider of aged care services in Victoria,” he said.

The Archbishop Booth Award which recognises an ‘exceptional or extraordinary contribution to Benetas beyond expectations and role requirements,’ was presented to Jodie Hender (pictured with Phil Read), the Care Coordinator from Benetas Gladswood Lodge.

Five staff and volunteers received a Chairperson’s Award. They were:

– Margaret Finger, Volunteer, Benetas Dowell Court

– Wendy Frencham, Volunteer, Benetas Dowell Court

– Sandra Price, Coordinator, Benetas Hurlingham Respite

– Robyn Jewell, Care Manager, Community Services Minyip

– Marie-Anne Russell, Catering Supervisor, Benetas Gladswood Lodge

A Posthumous Award was presented to Betty Patterson, who volunteered with Benetas for over 30 years.

Staff and Volunteers were also recognised for long-service to Benetas.
